Mechanical Project Manager

Job Summary

Plan, execute, and finalize projects for customers while sourcing and procuring high-quality goods within budgetary constraints. Direct project engineers and general superintendents, conducting redirection sessions for performance issues and managing manpower needs for current and backlog projects. Visit assigned job sites weekly to document progress, verify PPE usage, and ensure site cleanliness, while reviewing material fab sheets to determine outsourcing versus in-house completion. Analyze new project requirements, assign resources, and track critical milestones against documented deadlines. Provide weekly status updates to management and attend monthly billing and weekly project management meetings. Ensure all change orders have general contractor signatures before work begins. Maintain integrity in purchasing and billing processes, verifying purchase orders for pricing accuracy and material necessity.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of previous experience with Project Management/Project engineer in the mechanical/plumbing industry
  • 3 years of Supervisory experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Blue Beam
  • Capable of reading blueprints and specifications
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Good understanding of project financials
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must possess the ability to multitask
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
