Job Summary
Mechanical Project Engineer (PE) for on-site Orlando operations leading the mechanical design for high-impact commercial/institutional projects. Responsibilities include system architecture and design, independent technical leadership across multiple sectors, mentorship of design staff, coordinating with project managers and clients to define scope and schedules, interdisciplinary integration with architects, civil engineers and permitting agencies, QA/QC of construction documents, and technical oversight from concept through final permitting. Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, active PE license, 8+ years of design experience in AEC, advanced proficiency with Revit and load calculation tools, and strong knowledge of ASHRAE, IMC, IPC building codes. Salary starts at $120,000+ with relocation and performance bonus; on-site role in Orlando, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience in AEC consulting
- Proficiency in Revit and modern mechanical modeling/load calculation tools
- Deep knowledge of national and local building codes (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC)
