Job Summary
Mechanical Project Engineer on-site responsible for performing engineering calculations and layout/design of mechanical systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and codes; exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision; apply practical knowledge to resolve project-related problems; capable of independent decision-making; may supervise subordinate personnel; engage with clients to discuss design scope, budget, and scheduling; prepare design budgets and schedules with Project Manager; estimate discipline man-hours; mentor and assign design work to designers; ensure complete construction documents matching client/project team requirements; conduct quality assurance with technical manager/project engineer; participate in design reviews for function and coordination; strong knowledge of discipline codes and building codes; excellent verbal and written communication; leadership to educate clients on design and project requirements; join the team across diverse sectors including grocery, retail, big box, power centers, senior living, restaurant, industrial, multi-family, and more; licensed in engineering practice (PE) and capable of meeting fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- minimum 8 years of work experience
- licensed engineer (PE)
