Job Summary

Develop detailed piping designs, specifications, and layouts using advanced engineering software and tools. Conduct stress analysis and flexibility evaluations to ensure the integrity of piping systems under various conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate piping designs with other project components, review vendor drawings, and provide technical guidance during construction. Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment activities to achieve milestones on time and within budget. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, proficiency in CAD and pipe stress analysis tools, and experience in oil & gas or petrochemicals. Includes up to 10% travel, occasional outdoor site visits, and compliance with safety regulations. Loenbro simplifies complex construction lifecycle challenges for customers across the U.S.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and pipe stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, ANSYS)
  • Strong understanding of relevant piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Travel requirements: up to 10% of time

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in piping design and engineering in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or power generation preferred, not required
