Job Summary
Mechanical Project Engineer responsible for supporting HVAC project planning, scheduling, and cost tracking; review of mechanical drawings, submittals, and shop drawings against design specs and codes; coordination with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors on RFIs, change orders, and field documentation; tracking procurement and delivery of HVAC equipment (AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and ancillary gear); support testing and balancing, commissioning, and punch list to verify system performance; on-site role in the Kansas City metro with minimal travel; requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years HVAC/MEP experience; proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, and related construction software; OSHA/FE/EIT credentials preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field
- 1–5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, or MEP construction
- Working knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, blueprints, and specifications
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, or comparable construction software
- Strong coordination, written communication, and organizational skills
