Job Summary
Mechanical Project Engineer II provides mechanical design and project management for capital projects at Resonac Inc. Electrode manufacturing facility; lead project phases from requirements to installation; design solutions and produce drawings; manage scope/specifications for capital and non-capital equipment and contract labor; develop and utilize project risk management plans; prepare appropriation requests for capital equipment purchases and major repairs; track/forecast project schedule (Gantt charts) and costs; coordinate with vendors/contractors and ensure quality, safety, and housekeeping; train end-users on changes to equipment and new installations; support maintenance and reliability improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (required)
- 5+ years of engineering design and/or project management experience
- Familiarity with PMBOK or similar methodologies
- Heavy industry and hydraulics/pneumatics/material handling or thermal oil experience preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office, and SAP
- Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
