Mechanical Product Validation Engineering Supervisor II

Job Summary
Lead day-to-day shop operations at the Madras facility, oversee technician assignments and scheduling, supervise shop personnel, drive data-based process improvements, own intake and governance of work requests, coordinate cross-functional shop support for functional testing, RLDA, durability, and FCCC data acquisition, and develop a comprehensive resource plan with flex/contingency options. The role emphasizes leadership, capacity planning, tooling/equipment lifecycle management, training, and maintaining shop performance metrics (capacity, utilization, backlog, cycle time, fleet uptime). CDL and/or hands-on vehicle driving experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field are required, with 5–7 years of relevant experience and prior supervisory experience. Safety, documentation, and process standardization are key focus areas, along with supporting tours and executive events. Where We Work: Madras, OR, US (onsite). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Typically requires 5–7 years of relevant experience (or 8 years in lieu of degree)
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience
- Experience in shop, test, manufacturing, or operations environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage scheduling, workload prioritization, and cross‐functional coordination
- CDL and/or hands‐on vehicle driving experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures
