Job Summary
Lead and collaborate within the Low Voltage Integration team to drive vehicle-level projects across MD/HD/EV platforms. Develop low voltage battery enclosures, vehicle packaging, power cable design and routing strategy, and mounting bracketry design while coordinating with Mechatronics, Product Validation, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality. Produce creative, technically feasible designs that meet engineering standards and strategic direction, utilize systems engineering to optimize vehicle performance, quality, and cost, and develop accurate engineering documentation. Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to prepare material for executive audiences; contribute to a positive, inclusive engineering culture; and support cross-functional programs with CAD-centric design work, packaging studies, and solutions for cost savings. This hybrid Portland, OR-based role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience, and involves leadership of internal and external resources on packaging/mounting/routing deliverables, with emphasis on collaboration and cross-team alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 5-7 years of experience
- CAD experience - part design and drawings
- Experience with Design Validation Planning & Reporting (DVP&R)
- FEA, CFD, and DFMEA knowledge
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
