Mechanical/Process Piping QA- (Inspection Semiconductor)

Job Summary
Inspect fabricated and installed piping, mechanical equipment, skids, and modular systems within a cleanroom environment per project specifications. Coordinate compliance with OSHA, EPA, and regulatory standards while reviewing Quality Plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures. Verify welder certifications and monitor welder performance qualification records to ensure adherence to B31.3 and ASME Section 9 codes. Initiate Surveillance Reports and Non-Conformance Reports for adverse findings and retain records for NDE personnel qualifications. Participate in turnover package documentation and periodic quality checks for all welding performed.
Required Qualifications
- Complete understanding of semiconductor process systems including ultra-high purity and cleaned for oxygen service stainless steel systems
- Ability to competently inspect pipe/tube welds and systems
- Knowledge of all field and workshop fabrication/construction protocols and means and methods as outlined by industry standard specifications including systems testing and acceptance
- Experience and knowledge of processed piping systems
- Ability to read P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
- CWI required
- Familiarity with B31.3 and ASME Section 9
- Computer skills: MS Office, Bluebeam, PowerPoint
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators
- Ability to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 20 pounds
