Job Summary
Co-Op Mechanical Process Engineer will perform engineering projects, collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement safety and production CI initiatives, create work instructions and perform job hazard analyses on production areas, participate in safety improvements for equipment and processes, create layouts and process diagrams to support standardization, identify hazards, assist in ensuring site compliance with corporate process standards, and prepare for annual process audits while exploring potential product-improvement opportunities. The role is office-based with limited production-floor exposure in Seville, OH, and offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with potential for future internships/co-op placements or full-time opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Capable of learning ERP software and other ancillary software
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) awareness and safety-conscious
- Ability to work well as part of a team or independently
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be local to Ohio State
