Job Summary
Identify, research, and qualify RFPs and upcoming projects for go/no-go potential, then direct and lead submittals in response to these requests. Manage existing and develop new client relationships while performing at a responsible charge level to meet design and quality standards. Manage work plans and deliverables across multiple projects within budgeted hours, coordinating with architectural and structural disciplines to meet scheduled milestones. Apply risk management procedures daily and understand proper scope of MEP/FP documents from SD through CD levels. Edit and develop scope of work narratives, develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases, and conduct QA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers. Provide daily mentorship to designer-level staff and advance equipment selection analysis for systems including chillers, boilers, and air terminals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the field of HVAC/Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of building HVAC and piping design experience
- Experience in designing HVAC systems for Science/Technology, Life Sciences or Healthcare projects
- Experience with Project Management and leading multidisciplinary team projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- REVIT MEP Proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical codes
- Advanced equipment selection and analysis (generators, UPS units, chillers, boilers)
- Understand and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems
- Advance equipment selection and analysis – chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, HEPA filters, DX equipment, and water source heat pumps
