Mechanical Planner

Job Summary
Plan and schedule the repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems in the Paper, Power, or Pulping area. Coordinate with production, maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety staff; utilize Maximo ERP; develop detailed job plans and schedules; manage outage activities and updates to bills of materials; supervise as needed and provide technical leadership to crews; emphasize safety integration and continuous improvement of reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction; interface with contractors for quotes and ensure quality workmanship while maintaining strong working relationships with management and hourly staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field or appropriate work experience
- Experience using Maximo or similar ERP system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think “outside the box”
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality
- Functional use of Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives
- Highly organized and uses efficient work methods
