Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Piping Designer/Engineering Technician supporting Water and Industrial Water projects within the Governments & Communities market. Develops and modifies piping layouts and 3D models for water treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems using CAD/BIM tools (notably Autodesk Revit), coordinating with process equipment, structures, and underground utilities to ensure constructable, compliant designs. Provides design support, mentoring, and oversight to other engineering technicians, establishes design standards, reviews inputs for consistency, and ensures deliverables meet codes and project standards. May participate in process improvement, draw control, and coordination with other design groups; may support field activities and plant start-up activities as needed. Requires strong knowledge of engineering principles, proficiency with CAD/BIM tools, and experience delivering high-quality technical documentation and drawings for complex infrastructure projects; hybrid work options offered after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required.
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
