Job Summary
Provide an analysis of a member's automotive shop to recommend improvements using ATI's best practices; coach, consult, and mentor shop owners to achieve business goals; guide clients through ATI's 48-month reengineering program and alumni programs; develop new business models or road maps based on research, present findings to clients, and help implement profitable, efficient operations. Responsibilities include active listening to client needs, communicating via phone/Zoom/email, reviewing financial statements, evaluating competitors, and applying coaching to drive ROI and CSI improvements; maintain client satisfaction, deliver weekly notes, attend events, and participate in ongoing company and coaching activities. Required to have deep automotive aftermarket experience (preferably independent shops or MSO groups), exceptional communication and persuasion skills, and the ability to drive major changes in client practices. Location: remote-based in the United States; typical full-time engagement with periodic travel to events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years overall automotive experience with strong focus in service writing, shop management, operations management, or shop ownership
- Operations management experience in aftermarket context
- Minimum 4 years teaching/instructing/mentoring small business owners or employees
- Track record of consultative management and people development
- Proficiency with Word and Excel; Knowledge of Salesforce CRM a plus
- Ability to influence others via telephone/videoconferencing
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills
- Professional image suitable for coaching automotive shop owners
- Willingness to participate in weekly meetings and industry events
