Job Summary
Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely manner and investigate root causes of equipment failure to recommend long-term fixes. Lead troubleshooting and document all maintenance items in SAP Notifications while completing assigned work orders and preventive maintenance plans based on established priorities. Utilize precision maintenance practices, including reading hydraulic and mechanical drawings, measuring bearing fits, and performing laser alignment to improve asset reliability. Collaborate with area operators, departmental peers, and supervisors to resolve maintenance issues while prioritizing safety for yourself and co-workers. Navigate the facility to monitor maintenance issues throughout the assigned area and execute preventative maintenance protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Millwright Card, or Verifiable Industrial or Commercial experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years industrial mechanic experience required (including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes)
- Welding and Fabrication skills
- Experience in reliability techniques & knowledge of lubrication principles
- Hydraulic system aptitude and system maintenance best practices
- Ability to perform precision maintenance practices to improve asset reliability (i.e. read and follow instructions, ability to measure bearing and shaft fits, use of torque wrench, use of V-belt tension meter, laser alignment)
- Understand and read hydraulic and mechanical drawings
- Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to understand and execute preventative maintenance plans
- Valid LME
