Job Summary
Mechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on the Toronto Pearson Airport baggage-handling material system. Work under supervision with rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays). Tasks include diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, resetting system errors, assisting engineers with fault diagnostics and routine maintenance, performing scheduled maintenance, monitoring system performance, logging activities in the CMMS, following Health and Safety guidelines, escalating issues per procedures, and providing feedback to BEUMER Group management in a fast-paced airport environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Industrial Millwright (443A) with minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting (preferably with baggage handling systems or automated material handling equipment)
- RAIC Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with computers and maintenance software; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
