Job Summary

Hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role in Port Talbot for a permanent position in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site machinery, rapidly responding to mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime, diagnosing faults and implementing robust long-term fixes, supporting continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting solutions, maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports, ensuring work complies with health & safety and site standards, and collaborating with production and other departments to keep operations running smoothly. Essential skills include NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds Level 3 or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, proven mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, strong breakdown and fault-finding capabilities, pneumatics and diagnostics knowledge, a hands-on and team-oriented approach, and good communication across departments. Required Qualifications

  • MUST have at least an NVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds Level 3 or HNC/ HND in Mechanical Engineering

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and diagnostics
