Job Summary
Manage and support mechanical maintenance and project activities at the Stallingborough CHP plant, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry standards. Direct responsibility for site mechanical improvements, Written Schemes of Examination, and timely completion of competent person inspections for PSSR statutory outages. Plan and execute site outages, maintain the CMMS system including PMs and backlogs, and lead mechanical projects. Act as the appropriate officer for Legionella, environmental management, confined space, pressure systems, radiography, and asbestos. Identify and immediately report plant defects or anomalies affecting process safety. Lead and complete Management of Change applications while managing budgets, contractors, and engineering interfaces.
Required Qualifications
- A HNC in a mechanical engineering discipline (or equivalent)
- demonstratable successful mechanical engineering contributions in a 24/7 industrial environment
- Maintenance or fault finding
- Contract management
- Outage planning/management
- Contractor management
- Engineering & Operational interface
- Developing, implementing and evaluating improvements and mods.
- Management of Change applications
- Managing budgets and projects
- knowledge of SHEQ Systems
- knowledge of CMMS
- knowledge of Full Project Lifecycle
- knowledge of PSSR
- knowledge of Control valve and actuator types
- Be able to read and interpret design specifications and technical drawings
