Job Summary
Hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role at Massey Feeds' Holmes Chapel Mill. You’ll minimise downtime by responding to breakdowns, carrying out safe repairs, planning maintenance, managing spare parts, supporting in-house mill operating systems, and recording maintenance activities in CMMS. You’ll drive mill performance, reliability, and safety improvements, participate in the on-call rota, and ensure PP.M. and safety permits are completed. Requires experience in fabrication and welding, CMMS use, PPM, predictive maintenance, and a solid focus on health and safety; must collaborate effectively within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in fabrication and welding
- Strong hands-on experience repairing mechanical plant and machinery
- Knowledge of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and continuous improvement
- Understanding of predictive maintenance techniques
- Experience using CMMS or similar maintenance systems
- Good understanding of maintenance principles and best practices
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
