Job Summary

Coordinate mechanical systems integration, design reviews, and subcontractor supervision for data center construction projects. Confirm OSHA compliance, manage budgets, and oversee system testing and commissioning processes to ensure performance requirements are met. Serve as the primary contact for mechanical concerns, addressing design conflicts and coordinating client outage procedures. Maintain detailed records of test results and certifications for final handover. Participate in post-construction evaluations and warranty follow-ups. This role requires a Mechanical Lead Project Manager with eight years of experience in hyperscale data centers and mission-critical environments.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • eight years of related experience
  • demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • OSHA 10-Hour Training
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve design and construction challenges effectively
  • all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical systems, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with P100 and code compliance requirements
  • Experience working as an owner's representative for hyperscale data centers and mission critical environments
  • Understanding of uptime, redundancy, and reliability
  • Certified Construction Management or Project Management Professional or Professional Engineer Certification
  • Familiarity with advanced MEP technologies and sustainable practices
