Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, piping systems, and valves including compressed air, natural gas, and process fluids. Diagnose and fix issues on conveyor systems, production equipment, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic tools while performing preventive maintenance such as greasing bearings, tightening chains, and changing oils. Load and unload maintenance materials and read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure production runs with minimal downtime. Requires a Pipefitter, Machine Repair, or Millwright Journeyperson's card or equivalent practical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds or has the ability to get a Pipefitter, Machine Repair, or Millwright Journeyperson's card
- having served a bona fide apprenticeship and present certificate
- had 8 years practical experience at the trade and can establish satisfactory proof by means of a notarized affidavit
- present a UAW Journeyperson's card
- Ability to weld, fabricate, run torches
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
