Job Summary
Perform field inspections of industrial equipment including storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems under supervision. Generate calculations per API, ASME, and STI standards, then produce written reports and AutoCAD drawings or isometrics using Microsoft Office. Assist in managing projects ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 and maintain client relationships. This full-time role requires 40 hours per week with potential overtime and 30% travel. Candidates must be a U.S. person due to ITAR export control requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or closely related field
- Must be willing to travel 30% out of office
- Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Ability and motivation to obtain API/CWI cert(s) through OJT after hire and ATS pre-test support in one or more of the following specialties: API-510, API-570, API-653, CWI
- Must pass a drug screen
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
- Ability to work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
- Ability to work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
- Ability to work around operating equipment and industrial environments
- Ability to work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Mechanical Integrity
- Experience/interest in FEA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Desire to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Recent graduates with Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field of study
