Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (MIAA) Inspector

Job Summary

Perform inspections of pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and fixed equipment in accordance with ASME, API, and regulatory requirements. Assess equipment condition to determine repair, alteration, or continued service recommendations, while preparing inspection reports and authorizing activities within certification scope. Support Mechanical Integrity and Process Safety Management programs by maintaining the Owner/User Inspection Program, coordinating audits, and overseeing third-party contractor quality assurance. Serve as the site's technical expert for inspection codes, mentor junior inspectors, and recommend continuous improvements to inspection technologies and risk-based initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • API-certified inspector
  • Minimum 3–5 years of mechanical integrity, inspection, or fixed equipment experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • At least one current API certification (API 510, API 570, or API 653)
  • Working knowledge of ASME, API, National Board, and applicable regulatory codes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong technical problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection and pass required visual acuity testing
  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • National Board Inservice Inspection Commission (Owner/User) with 'R' Endorsement
  • UTT Level II and PT Level II certifications
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • Experience using Meridium Inspection Manager, Thickness Monitoring, and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications required for the role
