Job Summary
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry standards such as ANSI Y14.5 and AS9102. Report inspection accept or reject information directly to the customer via a web application. Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and utilize mechanical tools including micrometers and calipers to verify complex machined components. Submit daily inspection data using Microsoft Word and Excel while working as an independent contractor from Bangalore, India. Own a laptop for this on-site role.
Required Qualifications
- practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
- ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs)
- experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers
- experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
- knowledge of AS9102 standard
- minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing
- proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- computer savvy
- own a laptop
- working as an independent contractor
