Job Summary
Mechanically and visually inspect parts at various stages of manufacture, monitoring compliance to quality and customer requirements. Follow up with print clarification, IP form updates, and MR sheet notes while training shop floor employees on proper QC methods and ensuring correct tools are available. Maintain a clean work area, equipment, and safe work practices, communicating effectively with co-workers and management. Requires knowledge of measuring devices, GD&T, and ISO-9001-2015, with a minimum of five years related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- preferably with a machining background
- in-process inspection experience
- Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- organizational abilities
- High attention to detail
- problem-solving skills
- Ability to work accurately and thoroughly
- Required close vision
- distance vision
- peripheral vision
- ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Specific technical or vocational training
- Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y 14.5
- Familiar with ISO-9001-2015
