Mechanical HVAC Engineering Project Manager

Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary engineering design teams through the full lifecycle of mission-critical, sustainable infrastructure projects. Own the big picture from pursuit and contract execution to delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment. Form high-performance teams; develop artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and communication plans. Partner with internal finance to manage contracts in Deltek, optimize margins via Value Engineering, and ensure accurate job cost reporting. Direct day-to-day workstreams, maintain risk/issue logs, and drive QA/QC to exceed office standards. Serve as trusted advisor and liaison to sophisticated clients, monitor performance, forecast variances, and ensure deliverables meet contractual acceptance criteria. Identify staff development needs and provide clear pathways for future engineering leaders. Preferred certifications include PMP and active/top-secret clearance; familiarity with FAR and public sector contracting; cross-discipline exposure to MEP, structural systems, building controls, or energy modeling; experience in proposal development and budget creation for public sector pursuits.
