Job Summary
Mechanical/Hardware Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise India (onsite). Designs mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling based on established engineering principles and specifications. Implements test plans to validate tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, EMI, safety, reliability, and acoustics; develops understanding of internal and outsourced development partners for mechanical/thermal design; participates in a project team to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for low to moderately complex products. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical/industrial engineering, typically 2-4 years' experience, and proficiency with 3D CAD (e.g., ProEngineer or equivalent), plus strong analytical, communication, and design-for-manufacturing capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical / industrial engineering
- Typically 2-4 years' experience
- Experience with ProEngineer or other 3D CAD software
- Understanding of design for sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling
- Understanding of thermal properties of materials and heat transfer
- Good written and verbal communication skills
