Mechanical General Foreman

Job Summary

Oversee mechanical construction activities including string line, tracker shakeout, module installation, and QA/QC while leading a crew to meet production goals and job schedules. Complete daily reports, manage equipment maintenance, and ensure all documentation such as JSAs and inspection reports are accurate. Preplan daily activities, monitor quality control, and coordinate with the Superintendent to maintain safety standards and project timelines. This role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and noise, with limited travel to different job sites. Candidates must possess strong supervision skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in the solar or related construction industry
  • Ability to coach, train, and mentor
  • Strong supervision skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and communicate work change to management
  • Ability to solve problems and utilize dispute resolution tactics
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, tools, materials and supplies on a construction project
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
  • Ability to interpret specifications and read drawings
  • Working knowledge of MS office, Procore, PDFs and other software
  • Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
  • Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
  • This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Desired Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual – Spanish/English preferred
