Mechanical General Foreman

Job Summary
Oversee mechanical construction activities including string line, tracker shakeout, module installation, and QA/QC while leading a crew to meet daily production goals. Complete Foreman Daily Reports, manage equipment maintenance, and coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure schedule adherence. Monitor quality control, enforce safety protocols, and interpret specifications for all mechanical aspects of the solar field project. Lead team members through coaching and performance management while identifying process improvements. This field-based role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve limited travel to different job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in the solar or related construction industry
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor
- Strong supervision skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and communicate work change to management
- Ability to solve problems and utilize dispute resolution tactics
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, tools, materials and supplies on a construction project
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
- Ability to interpret specifications and read drawings
- Working knowledge of MS office, Procore, PDFs and other software
- Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
- Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
