Mechanical General Foreman

Job Summary
Oversee accurate clock in and out of assigned team members, complete and submit daily Foreman Daily Reports to the Superintendent, and set production goals to meet job schedules. Lead mechanical personnel on activities including String Line, Tracker Shakeout, Module Installation, and QA/QC while monitoring work quality and ensuring crew productivity. Coordinate equipment needs, maintain tools, and ensure all documentation such as JSA and Inspection Reports meets expectations. Preplan daily activities, interpret specifications, and lead the team to achieve project completion on schedule while implementing a strong safety culture. This field-based role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and may involve limited travel to different jobsites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in the solar or related construction industry
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor
- Strong supervision skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and communicate work change to management
- Ability to solve problems and utilize dispute resolution tactics
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, tools, materials and supplies on a construction project
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
- Ability to interpret specifications and read drawings
- Working knowledge of MS office, Procore, PDFs and other software
- Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
- Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
