Job Summary
Oversee mechanical construction activities including string line, tracker shakeout, module installation, and QA/QC while leading a crew to meet production goals and job schedules. Complete daily reports, manage equipment maintenance, and coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure accurate documentation and safety compliance. Preplan daily activities, inspect work in place, and coach team members to maintain quality standards and resolve disputes. This field-based role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and involves limited travel to various job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in the solar or related construction industry
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor
- Strong supervision skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and communicate work change to management
- Ability to solve problems and utilize dispute resolution tactics
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, tools, materials and supplies on a construction project
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
- Ability to interpret specifications and read drawings
- Working knowledge of MS office, Procore, PDFs and other software
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Must be able to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc
