Job Summary
The Mechanical Foreman will oversee and coordinate the construction crew on multiple projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include managing client and subcontractor interactions, project documentation (submittals and specifications), mentoring direct reports, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, assigning tasks to workers, ensuring QA/QC adherence, contributing to preplanning and material management, performing field takeoffs, leading daily meetings, projecting manpower, monitoring progress against schedules, coordinating any required prefabrication, tool management, assisting in planning projects (resource allocation, scheduling, material procurement), site/laydown organization, enforcing safety protocols, conducting employee reviews, attending internal/external meetings, and supporting efficient project closeout. Required skills include blueprints/drawings/specifications interpretation, proven budget-compliant project management, Microsoft Office proficiency, strong communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of mechanical and/or plumbing codes/trades, leadership ability, physical capability to lift 50 lbs and work in various conditions/heights, and a valid AZ Driver’s License.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Must have successfully managed projects that finished on budget
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Complete knowledge of the mechanical &/or plumbing code/trade
- Strong leadership skills
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to stand, walk, and squat for long periods of time
- Working in extreme weather
- Able to stand, walk and squat for long periods of time
- Work at various heights above floor with ladder, scaffold, and manlift
- Must be able to work in excavated trenches
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
