Job Summary
Lead mechanical installation projects by overseeing installation crews, coordinating work assignments, and ensuring high-quality workmanship across customer sites. Plan and complete conveyor layouts, pre-assemble sections, and install structural elements including header steel, platforms, and guardrail systems. Perform detailed installation tasks, validate mechanical assemblies, and conduct run-in testing to confirm accurate function before commissioning. Provide mentorship and basic training to less experienced personnel while maintaining daily safety documentation, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Coordinate daily activities with internal project teams and general contractors to deliver successful mechanical system installations on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience installing and/or maintaining conveyor or material handling equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Travel 100% to customer sites across the United States, using your personal vehicle
- Ability to lead small to intermediate groups of teams composed of a diverse set of backgrounds and capabilities
- Ability to detect and resolve technical issues with existing systems and/or work being performed
- Will need to acquire OSHA 30 certification upon hire
