Job Summary
Mechanical Fitter performing assembly of electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment at Vertiv's Campsie site. Responsibilities include mechanical assembly from engineering drawings and technical documentation, fitting and constructing components for new and repeat products, ensuring high workmanship and quality, identifying and reporting defective or non-conforming components, completing MTOs and supporting material ordering, supporting prototype and development builds, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Role may include overtime and site support as required. Essential skills include reading engineering drawings, using hand tools and workshop equipment, and working independently with a strong focus on quality and safety. Desirable experience includes electrical switchgear manufacture, field service/on-site installation, and familiarity with risk assessments and method statements. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as Mechanical Fitter or Assembler in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience using engineering hand tools and workshop equipment (e.g. punches, saws, benders, torquing tools)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to quality and safety
