Job Summary

Mechanical (Finite Element) Simulation Engineer responsible for performing finite element analysis to evaluate designs and reliability; construct realistic models and use simulation results to provide engineering insight for reliability improvement and quality issue resolution; collaborate with cross-functional teams across semiconductor devices, PCB assemblies, and systems; provide guidance on acceleration testing methods and mitigation measures; requires ANSYS FEA experience and a degree in mechanical/materials science; hybrid work arrangement with an average of 2 days per week at an HPE office; location flexibility among Sunnyvale, CA; Houston, TX; and Westford, MA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in material science, mechanical engineering, or similar fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in finite element simulation
  • Direct experience with ANSYS is required
  • Familiarity with semiconductor technology and electronic system manufacturing processes is highly desired
  • Knowledge of organic and inorganic materials properties, testing and characterization methods, and constitutive models
  • Good performance as part of teams in both leadership and supporting roles; Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
