Mechanical Field Engineer (Travel Required)

Job Summary
Coordinate and manage assigned mechanical construction activities within the plant, overseeing contractor execution to ensure alignment with project plans, schedules, and quality expectations. Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems while collaborating with electrical leads and stakeholders to maintain safety and specification compliance. Assist in developing construction schedules for plant shutdowns and product line downtimes, monitoring progress to identify risks and escalate concerns as appropriate. Prepare status updates for leadership and support documentation for project review. This embedded, client-side role requires up to 100% travel for non-local candidates and includes onsite work as part of a larger construction management team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Five (5) years or more years of experience in mechanical construction, mechanical systems oversight, or industrial capital projects
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- This position may require up to 100% travel for candidates who are not local to the Kansas City metropolitan area
