Job Summary
Repair equipment using appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards while effectively following work-order directions and performing tasks in a timely manner. Determine the causes of operating errors and clearly identify issues in positive or negative situations. Utilize proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, maintaining the largest fleet of trucks and trailers in the industry. Continue with required equipment education and lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work in fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools
- Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals
- Use of protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields
