Job Summary
Mechanical Estimator responsible for developing detailed estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems across plan/spec, design assist, and design-build projects; perform quantitative take-offs; assess RFP documents and project drawings to determine scope, deliverables, and required content; calculate total project costs including general conditions, overhead, and profit; utilize estimating software and databases to establish project costs; coordinate quotes with manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance; review contract terms and project specs to tailor estimate approaches to unique requirements; maintain and review cost data for completed projects; requires 5+ years in mechanical construction and a BA/BS in CM or ME; location is Seattle, WA.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical construction
- BA or BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proficient with estimating software, including database maintenance, report generation, table labor, and pricing updates
- Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans, and working knowledge of a variety of HVAC / Plumbing systems in commercial projects
- Self-starting, self-motivated effective time manager
- Ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
