Job Summary
Mechanical Estimator - AZCO is responsible for preparing lump sum bids, unit costs, and quantities for construction projects, consulting with clients, procurement, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues, assembling material and labor costs, reviewing plans and specifications for risk, and delivering bid packages with estimating strategies. The role includes analyzing historical data for cost reduction, identifying cost trends, ensuring compliance with estimating methodology, presenting estimating information at pre-bid meetings, and performing related duties to support field and pre-fabrication construction projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 3+ years of direct project estimating experience
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Software experience such as Quotesoft, Accubid, Oracle, and PowerBI desired
