Job Summary
Prepare and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit to assist with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system layouts. Convert engineering markups and sketches into construction documents, coordinate with architectural and structural disciplines, and participate in quality control reviews. Conduct field reviews and site visits to gather measurements and existing conditions for renovation projects, while updating record drawings and supporting project teams in delivering high-quality work on schedule. This office-based role in Truro, Nova Scotia offers mentorship from experienced engineers, opportunities to develop Revit and BIM skills, and direct exposure to a wide variety of building projects within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical Technologist (CAD/Revit)
- Graduate of a Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or related program
- CAD operator with experience in another industry
- Junior mechanical technologist looking to grow your career
- Strong technical aptitude
- Interest in the design and construction industry
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
