Mechanical Engineering Technician

Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and integrate ultra-high purity gas delivery systems, including gas panels, manifolds, and test bench hardware. Build and modify mechanical assemblies, chassis, fixtures, and support equipment using drawings and schematics while bending, routing, and installing stainless steel tubing. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues, performing repairs, improvements, and leak testing to ensure safe and reliable operation. Interpret piping diagrams, electrical schematics, and flow diagrams for new and legacy equipment. Work independently on complex assignments, manage multiple concurrent projects, and coordinate with vendors to procure components. Requires a technical associate degree, minimum two years experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Based in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, with occasional travel exceeding 14 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in a related field
- Technical Associates degree
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and flow diagrams
- Ability to get along with others in a team environment
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Regular attendance in person required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building ultra-high purity (UHP) gas systems, including gas panels and manifolds, valves, regulators, and compression fittings
- Experience bending, routing, and installing stainless steel tubing while maintaining leak free connections
- Experience with leak testing, pressure testing, and validating mechanical system performance
- Welding experience
- Proficiency with CAD
- Connecting to PCs and DAQ hardware
