Mechanical Engineering Teaching Assistants

Position involves assisting an instructor across multiple MECH courses with instruction and evaluation of students. Courses include MECH 215 Statics, MECH 216 Analytical Mechanics, MECH 220 Introduction to Dynamics, MECH 240 Thermodynamics 1, MECH 241 Fundamentals of Thermodynamics, MECH 261/262 Measurement Laboratory, MECH 265 Numerical Linear Algebra, MECH 289 Design Graphics, MECH 292 Design 1: Conceptual Design, MECH 309 Numerical Methods in Mechanical Engineering, MECH 314 Dynamics of Mechanisms, MECH 315 Intermediate Dynamics, MECH 321 Mechanics of Deformable Solids, MECH 331 Fluids Mechanics 1, MECH 341 Thermodynamics II, MECH 346 Heat Transfer, MECH 360 Principles of Manufacturing, MECH 362 Mechanical Laboratory 1, MECH 383 Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, MECH 390 Computer Aided Design, MECH 393 Design 2: Machine Element Design, MECH 412 System Dynamics and Control, MECH 419 Advanced Mechanics of Systems, MECH 430 Fluid Mechanics 2, MECH 447 Combustion, MECH 463 Design 3: Mech Engineering Project. Responsibilities include assisting instructor with instruction and evaluation, presence during scheduled lab hours for Lab TAs, public speaking, tutoring, marking or demonstrating as required, and proficient English communication as assessed by the instructor.
