Job Summary
Lead mechanical buildings projects and perform conceptual and detailed design of building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) in an integrated environment. Responsibilities include design coordination, producing working drawings and specifications, project management, site visits, client communication, and mentorship. Duties also cover reviewing existing systems, preparing condition reports, providing technical advisory services, participating in fee proposals, and supporting business development. Requires strong knowledge of Building Code/NBC, load calculations, and detailed design drawings; opportunity to grow professionally within a well-established, award-winning engineering consulting firm that offers hybrid work with limited in-office requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 8 years professional experience with HVAC & Plumbing systems (fire suppression experience an asset)
- EIT or registered engineer in an Alberta province is preferred
- Mechanical designers will also be considered
