Job Summary
Role involves developing detailed drawing packages and layouts for packaging machines, collaborating across disciplines, and gaining hands-on engineering experience. As a Mechanical Engineering Packaging Graduate Intern at Winpak Lane in Rialto, CA, you will draft, design, and develop diagrams and 3D models for complex packaging equipment, create bills of materials, analyze design concepts, and assist with specifying equipment components while following engineering procedures. The position requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with preferred graduation by Q2 2026, and experience with SolidWorks/Autodesk, reading blueprints, and strong communication and MS Office skills.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Undergraduate expected to graduate by 2nd quarter of 2026 (preferred)
- Basic knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
- Experience using SolidWorks and Autodesk products
- Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with electrical wiring and systems a plus
- Familiarity with PDM software a plus
- Ability to draft, design, and develop diagrams and 3D models for packaging machines
- Create bills of materials and monitor project accuracy
- Participate in investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation
- Follow engineering procedures and naming conventions
- Location: Rialto, CA (part-time)
