Job Summary
Lead mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, and integrated power distribution systems while maintaining internal engineering standards and best practices. Partner with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on schedule, drive engineering schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones. Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance and design reviews, specify materials aligned with geographic and environmental considerations, and produce detailed design packages ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Serve as the primary technical interface with clients throughout the project lifecycle, collaborate across disciplines for structural and HVAC integration, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years collaborating with mission critical custom enclosures
- Expertise in mechanical design within commercial or industrial construction settings
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (3D), and related engineering design tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
