Job Summary
Mechanical Manager leading the mechanical and plumbing groups in a Southern California firm. Responsibilities include steering the mechanical design team, architecting complex systems for residential and commercial portfolios, managing projects from concept through construction, maintaining high-level client relationships, and serving as the technical authority on Basis of Design and code compliance. The role requires mentoring engineers and designers, overseeing submittals/RFIs, conducting field surveys, and ensuring project momentum and technical integrity, with a Hybrid work setup (onsite Tue/Thu; remote Mon/Wed/Fri) and 100% employer-paid benefits. Preferred: PE in CA and experience with EnergyPro, Navisworks, and Title 24 knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in mechanical building systems design
- Expert-level AutoCAD and Revit; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Ability to navigate construction sites and climb ladders for field surveys
