Mechanical Engineering Manager - Enclosures & Engineered Systems

Job Summary
Lead mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, and integrated mechanical assemblies; maintain and improve internal engineering standards and best practices; partner with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on schedule and within scope; mentor junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and design reviews; identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturability; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production; lead and oversee the design of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems; ensure structural and cooling system optimization for durability, safety, and efficiency; specify materials and components to align geographic and environmental considerations; produce detailed design packages including drawings, bill of materials, and technical documentation; ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards; serve as primary technical interface with clients; drive engineering schedules and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet milestones; lead design reviews and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical or engineering, with at least 5 years collaborating with mission critical custom enclosures
- Expertise in mechanical design within commercial or industrial construction settings
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (3D), and related engineering design tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
