Job Summary
Conduct experiments, analyze data, and prepare reports on findings while supporting operations and projects using engineering principles in both office and industrial settings. Collaborate with engineers and operations staff to improve processes and resolve issues by identifying trends, recommending improvements, and developing trials based on operational needs. Work hands-on with mechanical systems and maintenance tasks alongside operators, including diagnosing equipment, fabricating parts, and implementing upgrades to enhance safety and efficiency. This summer 2027 internship at the Flat Roll Division in Columbus, MS, blends technical CAD design with practical floor experience to develop expertise in mechanical maintenance and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering

- GPA of 2.7 or higher preferred
