Job Summary
Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 at WSP USA in Los Angeles, CA. Supports a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills; assists with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analyses; helps prepare final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates; collects and maintains project documentation; completes training and adheres to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies; internship is full-time, onsite at the Los Angeles office, with no relocation assistance provided; ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Mechanical Engineering program and possess basic technical writing, software, and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later
- Must be 18 or older
- Demonstrated interest in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong communication skills
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship
