Job Summary
Mechanical Engineering Intern at Parsons in Doha, Qatar, supporting mechanical design and coordination activities on infrastructure, transportation, and building projects, with exposure to HVAC systems, ductwork, piping layouts, and coordination with electrical and civil disciplines. You’ll assist with CAD-based drawings, basic engineering calculations under supervision, development of mechanical drawings and schedules, review of contractor submissions, and maintenance of technical documentation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and benefiting from mentorship and live project exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university in Qatar
- Strong academic record with coursework relevant to HVAC systems
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid mechanics
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and MEP drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering standards and procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional engineering setting
